Lisa Wetegrove is a lifelong Texan whose creativity has been shaped by a lifetime of drawing, painting, and crafting. Inspired by family, nature, and the warmth of home, she brings joy and optimism into every piece she creates. Early trips to Mexico sparked her love of colorful folk art and rich textiles, influences that now mingle with her appreciation for handmade ceramics, quilts, batiks, rugs, and the detailed work of Indigenous Australian artists. Modern art and contemporary illustration further guide her evolving style.
While Lisa continues to explore traditional mediums, digital illustration has expanded her practice, allowing her to develop ideas wherever inspiration strikes. She actively pursues ongoing art education and has been recognized in juried exhibitions, including being a top seller at the La Merienda Art Show in Corpus Christi, Texas. Her work has appeared in regional boutiques, on the HBO series The Affair, and in Earth Island Journal. She also licenses her designs through Lisa Larsen Studio.
